The star attraction of the season, the zipline opened its doors this February and operates at weekends and on public holidays, including Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. It is the longest zip line in Galicia, at 330 metres, and there is also a 60-metre version for children weighing under 50 kilos. The little ones might not remember it, but Humor Amarillo was a hilarious source of amusement, bumps and falls a few years ago on television. On Mount Alba in Vigo there is a park where visitors can put themselves in the contestants’ shoes and undergo some of the most famous trials from the TV show. Dress up in a sumo suit, cross a suspension bridge while balls are thrown at you or play football inside a giant bubble. There are two circuits available, and one of them is recommended for children.

The name says its all. It is the ideal place for adventurers of all ages. Although there are several adventure parks to be found in Galicia, the Marín Municipal Ecopark has the advantage of being located on the shores of the Rías Baixas, one of the top holiday destinations in the region. It has four tree circuits of varying degrees of difficulty and height levels and another two routes for beginners so there’s something for everyone. Obstacle courses, zip lines, bridges, nets, lianas... everything you need to become Tarzan or a pirate about to board a ship.

Orienteering games on Monte Aloia

Iago Viana

What comes to mind when you think of adventures? If a map and a compass spring to mind, this is the ideal activity for you. Orienteering games allow you to feel like an explorer in search of treasure, trying to reach the marked places while solving puzzles along the way. Although there are several options in Galicia, Monte Aloia, in Tui, has the added attraction of being located right in the heart of a natural park. Learning to navigate trails and forests has never been so much fun.
